Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantitative Research Analyst located in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative research skills coupled with deep practical experience with mixed-methods analysis and evaluation, with an interest in Southeast Asia, and have experience in leading a research team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in economics, public policy, social sciences, or a related field with at least 10 years of experience as a research leader in an academic, think tank, public sector, private sector, or non-profit setting.
- Strong sense of intellectual curiosity with openness to learning new domain areas.
- Proven track record of applying rigorous and objective research methods and practices to advance impact in the social sector
- High level of familiarity with the context and requirements of both academic and policy/practice research, including ethics and data protection.
- Ability to design and lead experimental, quasi-experimental and modelling-based research and evaluation studies from end-to-end, spanning study design, data collection, data analysis, writing, publication and presentation.
- Ability to co-design and lead mixed-methods studies in collaboration with qualitative researchers.
- Experience in the design and validation of survey and administrative data collection instruments
- Demonstrated success in working with partners to develop and implement innovative, fit-for-purpose research and evaluation, including building and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Experience in designing and facilitating training and capacity-building as needed, including MEL alignment workshops, artefact development and finalization, and roll-out briefings for stakeholders.
- Track record of successful proposal writing for grants and proposals
- Excellent technical and policy writing and communication skills
- Preferably have experience in participatory approaches, such as human-centred design, community-led approaches or participatory action research.
- Preferably have experience leading and managing research projects in the Southeast Asia or Asia region.
- Preferably have relevant language skills for the Southeast Asia region.

- Build and communicate data-driven narratives effectively through writing and presentation to a wide range of stakeholders across the public, private and philanthropic sectors as well as front-line implementing organizations.
- Design and deliver effective, engaging training and capacity-building in a variety of settings.
- Develop and support a strong network of partners and collaborators in the research and evaluation space.
- Mentor junior staff in the development of their own professional pathways.
